Going bananas

on Sunday, June 14, 2009

So have you ever done online shopping and thought that you ordered 6 bananas only to have 6 bunches of bananas delivered at your door?

No? Well I did. Anybody got banana recipes? Besides banana shake, banana milkshake, banana bread, banana cake, banana split, banana porridge......

Ok, I'm going to bed now.

Ay-yi-yi. My mom has a fabulous story of a side of beef being delivered to the house when she was a kid, and my then three-year-old aunt told the delivery man to put it "in the bedroom." And the guy listened to her and put a whole side of beef on my grandmother's bed...trouble...
Anyway...I like allrecipes.com Coincidence! I was looking up banana bread recipes this morning, and then saw your post. Here's a linky, the banana whisky looks pretty yummy...http://allrecipes.co.uk/recipes/searchresults.aspx?text=banana

Banana muffins? Smoothies with banana as one of the fruits? Seeing that photo reminds me of a story my dad told me about my SA grandmother and a delivery of bananas a long time ago - a big poisonous spider came out of one of the bunches! Of course she just swept the thing out of the kitchen with a broom - I would have been on a plane out of there in seconds! LOL - I probably shouldn't be telling you this :-)

I love bananas (apeloff)... but usually satisfied with less than that, lol!

Must say I'm impressed with your online deals... stompa beds and now bananas! Anything you don't do online? You're a high tech mom!!

I recommend banana dogs (in hot-dog rolls) and banana fritters.

Makes for a nice picture though!

How about convincing your kids bananas is so so healthy that you have to eat the whole bunch within a week?

Or throw a banana party! :D

Thank you for all the scrumptious suggestions! I found sliced bananas and Baileys to be my favourite.

Bananas nearly finished - unfortunately the Baileys finished first.......
